Job Summary

Serve as the 2IC to the Brand Home Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, commercial performance, and premium guest experiences. Lead kitchen operations end-to-end in the manager’s absence—covering staff leadership, menu development, food quality, hygiene and safety, and kitchen efficiency. Own kitchen cost control, food costing, waste reduction, and stock/procurement discipline, while supporting metrics tracking, reporting, and SOP refinement.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the 2IC and lead day-to-day operations in the absence of the Brand Home Manager.
•Take full responsibility for end-to-end kitchen operations, including people/process/performance and daily supervision.
•Own menu development aligned to brand positioning, seasonality, guest expectations, and cost/profitability targets.
•Drive kitchen commercial performance through food costing and pricing, waste reduction, margin management, and metrics tracking support.
•Manage stock, procurement controls, and reporting—conducting stock takes, handling variances, supporting performance tracking, and contributing to SOP development.

Key Requirements

•Must have a matric certificate or equivalent.
•Relevant qualification in Hospitality or Culinary Arts (advantageous).
•Proven kitchen and food experience with an ability to lead end-to-end kitchen operations.
•Experience in hospitality, brand home, or premium guest environments.
•Exposure to financial tracking, costing, or operational reporting.
