Key Responsibilities

  • •Use AI-assisted development tools to design, develop, test, document, and deploy Messaging Security Group components.
  • •Contribute across the full software stack by designing and implementing product components with strong test coverage and automation.
  • •Influence system design and engineering best practices across MSG and collaborate with senior development leaders, architects, and product management.
  • •Execute the team’s vision for email and messaging security in an agile environment, potentially leading projects under guidance.
  • •For UI projects, mentor team members and align with the global Sophos UI team and company UI principles.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 105,000 - 175,000

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of professional software engineering experience shipping production services.
  • •Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and Codex.
  • •5+ years developing with Java, JavaScript, Angular, GoLang, and possibly React.
  • •5+ years developing and deploying micro-services in AWS (ECS or EKS).
  • •Confidence designing, implementing, and testing software systems; ability to read code and review PRs.
