Job Summary

Maintain cleanliness of the inside and outside of the feed mill at all times to support production. Perform essential duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing, dusting, mowing and trash removal, and disposing of waste feed. Support operations by dusting equipment, painting as directed, receiving and organizing bag ingredients in the warehouse using a forklift, and assisting maintenance when needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Maintain cleanliness of the feed mill inside and outside by sweeping, mopping, washing, and dusting as needed.
•Keep the mill grounds clean by mowing, weeding, and picking up trash and spilled feed; dispose of waste feed and trash into outside containers or landfill trailers.
•Dust beams, equipment, and railings; paint railings, beams, and walls as directed by the supervisor.
•Receive bag ingredients into the feed mill warehouse using a forklift; arrange bags for counting and first-in, first-out use, and tape broken bags to prevent spillage and contamination.
•Assist maintenance as needed and notify the supervisor of any problems with equipment and/or processes.

Key Requirements

•Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.
•Must be able to read and write in English.
•Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day and perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motion.
•Must be able to climb ladders, stairs, and work at high levels (including use of a harness).
•Must have good communication skills and be able to work a flexible schedule.
