Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare houses for bird placement by installing partitions, setting up feed systems, transferring birds, and placing them in assigned pens.
  • •Provide daily flock care by calculating and recording feed amounts, monitoring birds, managing recovery/euthanasia per policy, and administering medications via the water system.
  • •Maintain flock environment by flushing water lines, maintaining bedding, clearing dust using equipment, and verifying feed/water/environmental control systems.
  • •Collect growth and development data using weighing and sampling procedures, and assist with euthanasia of birds designated by the FCR out list.
  • •Support safety and housekeeping tasks such as maintaining vehicles, cleaning/disinfecting areas, and following required PPE and safety policies.
