Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and support cost engineering activities for new product development and existing product improvement projects.
  • •Develop and maintain detailed cost models, should-cost estimates, and cost breakdown structures for components, assemblies, and systems.
  • •Partner with engineering, category management, procurement, and manufacturing teams to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
  • •Analyze product designs, materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier quotations to assess cost drivers and compare costs.
  • •Drive VAVE/design-to-cost initiatives via product teardowns and support make-versus-buy, supplier benchmarking, and RFQ/negotiation technical discussions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • •8-12 years of experience in cost engineering, value engineering, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, or sourcing support.
  • •Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, casting, molding, welding, and assembly.
  • •Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • •Proficiency with Excel and cost analysis tools such as aPriori and TcPCM, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
