Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement departmental policies and practices aligned with the school vision, aims, and high standards for teaching and learning
•Create, monitor, and evaluate short-, medium- and long-term departmental plans; use data to identify underachieving students and implement support actions
•Ensure schemes of work are developed, reviewed, and evaluated for all year groups, including appropriate provision for SEN/POD, G&T, and EAL students
•Set expectations for staff on standards of achievement, quality of teaching/learning, and behaviour; evaluate teaching quality and drive improvements
•Contribute to the school’s CAS Programme and after-school Booster/Revision Sessions for I/GCSE and IB DP; performance manage the team and manage staffing and departmental budgets

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification
•Minimum of 3-year teaching experience
•Experience of the UK curriculum
•Commitment to an extensive enrichment programme
•Passionate and caring educators
