Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the project organization (WBS/OBS) and validate the development model for each hardware sub-assembly (in-house or external, supplier decisions, scope of responsibilities)
  • •Identify, promote and implement new development methods to optimize cycle times (multiphysics modeling, test cone optimization) and innovative technologies to maximize SWaP-C performance
  • •Ensure industrial and logistic constraints are accounted in development (industrialization, robust definition file for supply-chain changes, testability, maintainability)
  • •Guarantee technical, schedule, and financial objectives of the project; drive evolution of methodologies and balance resources across internal and external teams
  • •Lead and coach project teams, interact with projects, industry, partners and support teams to ensure timely milestones and effective issue resolution

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering degree with 10+ years of hardware development experience in R&D environments under strict defense/aerospace constraints
  • •Experience managing teams (hierarchical and cross-functional) and delivering projects in multi-disciplinary settings (mechanical, electrotechnical, industrialization, supply chain)
  • •Strong understanding of lifecycle activities for bureaus d'études (concept, specs, detailed design, integration and validation, production, customer support)
  • •Knowledge of mechanical engineering disciplines (structures, gear reductions, actuation, thermal management, hydraulics) and familiarity with electrical/electronic aspects
  • •Proficiency in project leadership and change management, with ability to engage teams and stakeholders and to promote methodological ruptures and continuous improvement
