Key Responsibilities

•Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive architectural alignment, make trade-offs explicit, and enable decisions across teams and sites.
•Define and evolve software architecture for the Azurion Eye orchestrator and clinical operating functions, including interface design and integration patterns across cloud, edge, and ecosystem integrations.
•Translate feature needs and non-functional requirements into reference architectures and implementation guardrails for teams.
•Identify architectural risks early, shape mitigation strategies, and contribute to risk management in a regulated development context.
•Drive discussions on system boundaries, interface contracts, and integration strategies to achieve robust interoperability and low-latency workflow orchestration.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Software Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical field.
•Strong experience (typically 7+ years) designing and delivering complex software in regulated environments across edge/embedded and cloud services.
•Experience building and designing distributed systems across on-prem and cloud-native/edge-native environments, including containers and Kubernetes.
•Strong background in distributed systems and event-driven or integration-heavy architectures with stable interface contracts.
•Hands-on familiarity with modern engineering quality practices (automated testing, CI/CD, observability/monitoring, operational readiness) in a regulated medical context.
