Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as Mechanical Project Lead for design delivery and construction administration.
  • •Independently complete early-stage design tasks and advance concepts through detailed design while coordinating with all disciplines.
  • •Design HVAC, controls, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including HVAC calculations and analysis.
  • •Conduct engineering calculations, review design drawings, support field investigations, and prepare clear inspection reports.
  • •Ensure compliance with applicable codes/regulations/client standards and write/edit mechanical specifications, while applying LEED or other sustainability rating systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering plus 6+ years designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, and light industrial facilities.
  • •Strong HVAC systems experience, including hydronic systems and BMS controls.
  • •Design experience with plumbing and fire protection systems.
  • •Experience preparing project-specific technical specifications and a strong consulting engineering background.
  • •P.Eng. registration in Alberta (or ability to obtain).
