Key Responsibilities

  • •Own reconciliation across revenue sources (statement vs. summary vs. cash receipt), resolve variances, and set the technical standards for the team.
  • •Manage the Royalties Manager and Royalties Administration Manager and act as first-line technical authority on royalty calculation, allocation, withholding, and recoupment.
  • •Own end-to-end tracking and ingestion of Letters of Direction (LODs), including ingestion formats per payor and cash withholding correctness.
  • •Drive statement ingestion automation and workflow optimization by expanding automated ingestion to high-volume and complex sources and retiring manual processing.
  • •Partner with Data Engineering and Analytics to move ingestion/matching/reporting off spreadsheets, define requirements for statement and calculation modules, and support deal-level performance reporting.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 90,000 - 120,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, music business, or information systems, or equivalent experience; 5+ years in the music business considered in lieu of a degree.
  • •4+ years in music royalty operations, royalty accounting, or income tracking with end-to-end statement cycle ownership.
  • •2+ years of people management experience, ideally managing other managers, with readiness to step into leadership.
  • •Direct hands-on experience processing royalty statements at volume with strong reconciliation discipline across statement, summary, and cash.
  • •Deep knowledge of royalty accounting concepts (advances/recoupment, splits, reserves, accruals, withholding, FX) and the ability to trace deal terms into calculations.
