Job Summary

Manage end-to-end delivery of retail fit-out and construction projects, from execution planning and tendering through design coordination, procurement, and contract closeout. Prepare project programs and milestone plans, float tenders, review contractor drawings, monitor progress and risks, and run quality and H&S checks. Track store rollout weekly, coordinate with QS for CAPEX and variation tracking, and support people management by guiding and motivating subordinates.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare a project execution plan with Business, Design, and Developers to deliver within time, quality, and approved budgets.
•Implement tendering and contractor appointment procedures; manage contractor/labor/payment dealings and coordination across clients, architects, consultants, and contractors.
•Develop project strategic program and manage design processes to meet agreed design milestone deliverables.
•Coordinate issues across drawings, programs, and schedules; monitor progress vs. the project program and provide clear updates to Management and Business.
•Manage contract requirements through project completion, including quality checks, store tracking updates, CAPEX/variation coordination with QS, and final inspection/snags closeout.

Key Requirements

•Degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification relevant to construction project management.
•8–10 years’ experience delivering retail fit-out or construction projects in a responsible project management position.
•Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to interface with internal partners (e.g., sales, marketing, facilities, risk management).
•Strong planning, organizing, and project management skills, including managing multiple priorities and aligning work with business goals.
•Ability to identify/manage risk and apply strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, resolving routine issues independently.
