Job Summary

Junior to intermediate civil engineering professional based in Burnaby, BC, supporting water resources and civil design for municipal, highway and mining projects. You’ll conduct site inspections, collaborate with design teams, prepare reports and cost estimates, and assist with contract administration while traveling to project sites in the Vancouver area and beyond.

•Organize construction meetings and write meeting minutes

•Write memos to respond to RFIs and keep project files organized
•Assist with preparation of construction cost estimates and contract administration documentation

Travel: Low travel

Salary: CAD 65,000 - 85,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field + 2 years of civil engineering design and construction inspections experience; OR
•Diploma/Certificate in civil engineering technology + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education
•Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for reviewing drawings and site layouts
•Ability to prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates from design models and drawings
•Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with MS Office
