Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain plant protective relaying and associated control circuits, including testing, calibration, functional tests, trouble shooting, and installation of upgrades.
  • •Test electromechanical and microprocessor protective relays and troubleshoot/repair protection and control equipment using schematic diagrams and system knowledge.
  • •Maintain plant metering, including MWh metering calibrations and voltage/current/watt/var/frequency transducer calibrations and testing.
  • •Support outage work by interfacing with plant I&C personnel and performing related protection/control duties.
  • •Lead installation wiring verification, checkout, and functional tests; revise and maintain associated drawings; complete documentation for projects and field work.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Completion of all PSD requirements in the P&C S*T*A*R program.
  • •Completion of all PSD requirements in the P&C S*T*A*R program and six (6) years as a P&C Technician or acceptable job related experience.
  • •Significant time in the field performing P&C services.
  • •Routine travel away from home and ability to work extended hours with strenuous physical effort.
