Job Summary

Join the Audio Innovation team within TikTok’s Multimedia Lab, advancing immersive audio understanding and processing algorithms. You’ll research and implement next-generation intelligent audio codec and processing systems for applications across short video on demand, live streaming, and VR/MR scenarios. The role also involves participating in domestic and international audio standards work and writing technical proposals, using ML and neural network (generative) approaches.

Key Responsibilities

•Research and implement next-generation intelligent audio understanding and processing algorithm systems developed by the team.
•Implement and optimize intelligent audio codec and processing systems for application iteration across short video on demand, live, and VR/MR scenarios.
•Follow up on domestic and international audio standards and participate in standards work.
•Write high-quality technical proposals to support intelligent audio standardization efforts.
•Contribute to R&D using machine learning and neural network (especially generative) approaches for immersive audio technology.

Key Requirements

•Be completing or have recently completed a Masters' degree (Research) in (or above) majors in electronic information, computer, multimedia, Machine Learning, or AI.
•Have research experience in areas such as GAN/Diffusion audio processing, voiceprint/wake-up, sound event detection, automatic speech recognition, or natural language processing.
•Be familiar with data structures and algorithms and capable of deep network model design and tuning.
•Be proficient with open-source tools such as Kaldi, TensorFlow, and PyTorch, including experience training and exploring large-scale datasets.
•Have a PhD degree (preferred) in related majors such as electronic information, computer, multimedia, Machine Learning, or AI.
