Job Summary

Analyze and underwrite risks for E&S Financial Lines submissions, evaluating loss history, financial condition, and controls to support acceptance or declination within Zurich’s risk appetite. Use underwriting tools and alternative data sources to anticipate information needs, recommend inputs on pricing and policy construction, and manage end-to-end servicing for new business, renewals, and endorsements. Partner with brokers and teammates and help coach others on complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities

•Review, evaluate, and analyze risk exposures, controls, loss history, financial condition, and support underwriting decisions on acceptance or declination within risk appetite.
•Anticipate underwriting information needs and proactively seek alternative data sources using underwriting tools to improve risk understanding.
•Analyze and recommend inputs on policy rating, subjective pricing, policy construction, coverages and exclusions, and mandatory forms to quote and renew policies.
•Develop and execute account servicing solutions for new business, renewals, and endorsements in partnership with Underwriter.
•Drive broker/agent/distributor/customer interactions for account servicing matters and support coaching for new team members, plus special projects as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 54,500 - 89,200 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting or Market Facing area, or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 2+ years, or High School Diploma/Equivalent with 4+ years in the same areas.
•Knowledge of the insurance industry and the legal and regulatory environment.
•Experience with data collection and analysis.
•Experience with processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance industry.
•Customer service and problem-solving experience, including servicing product portfolios for multiple lines of business; Microsoft Office experience.
