Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee input, peer review, and verification of geotechnical data, analyses, and design calculations.
  • •Provide consultative advice to external partners throughout the project lifecycle, including site-selection and optioneering.
  • •Manage or oversee geotechnical projects, including planning schedules and coordinating work to meet programme and budget objectives.
  • •Lead and support the Ground Engineering team to deliver projects to time and quality expectations.
  • •Maintain industry presence and build client relationships; take Ground Engineering lead for delivery of multi-disciplinary projects, and mentor junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology (2:1 or equivalent) or higher.
  • •MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (advantageous).
  • •Chartered status.
  • •Strong knowledge of UK ground conditions and ground investigation practices.
  • •Demonstrable understanding of geotechnical design codes, standards, and best practices, plus design problem parametric assessment and correlation methods.
