Job Summary

Lead planned maintenance and reactive repairs across an automated distribution center by supervising skilled trades and maintenance staff. Drive efficient operation and upkeep of facility systems and site services, including HVAC, plumbing, automation/robotics, conveyors, fire suppression, and power generation. Partner with vendors and third parties to review SLAs/SOWs, troubleshoot and analyze equipment failures, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. Maintain strong customer service and internal stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance evaluations for direct reports.
•Lead maintenance standards and procedures for material handling and building systems within a distribution center, including automation/robotics, HVAC, fire suppression, and plumbing systems.
•Troubleshoot systems, perform failure analysis, and oversee repairs, inspections, and planned maintenance.
•Lead partnerships with third-party vendors/service providers/contractors by reviewing SLAs and SOWs to resolve service gaps and supervise costs.
•Coordinate with other departments to facilitate building and equipment changes to meet evolving business demands.

Key Requirements

•BA/BS degree in Construction, Engineering, Facilities, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent skills and training).
•5 years’ experience as a Facilities Manager, Chief Engineer, Property Manager, or equivalent, with emphasis on team development.
•Technical knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, equipment life cycles, and maintenance standards.
•Experience with material handling and packaging equipment including Autostore, conveyance, boxing, and wrapping.
•Knowledge of applicable codes and compliance practices (including BOCA, NFPA, EPA, and OSHA), plus ability to read/interpret blueprints and system drawings.
