Job Summary

Own capital and corporate accounting activities by ensuring accurate compliance with HGB and US GAAP for fixed assets, provisions, and reporting. Manage the asset ledger, including activations, depreciation, allocations, and reconciliations, and support audits and statutory closing processes. Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, IT, and Operations on investment projects, drive process automation using AI-assisted tools, and contribute to ESG compliance reporting for Germany.

Key Responsibilities

•Run monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for asset accounting and provisions, ensuring full compliance with HGB and US GAAP, including activations, depreciation, cost allocation, reconciliations, and external reporting preparation.
•Maintain and update the asset register, manage asset acquisitions/disposals/transfers, and support asset reviews and timely depreciation.
•Manage product distribution center (PDC) inventory through monthly reconciliations and quarterly sample counts.
•Act as the central point of contact for internal teams on investment projects, overseeing capitalization, valuation, and booking of capital expenditures.
•Support ESG compliance reporting for Germany, improve reporting and system processes through automation, and assist with statutory audits and internal/external audit activities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, or a related business field.
•Solid understanding of international and local accounting principles (US GAAP, HGB, TI Accounting Policies).
•Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical, critical, and creative thinking skills.
•Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) to improve productivity while ensuring accuracy and auditability.
•Proficiency in Excel, SAP, BPC, Business Objects, and reporting tools.
