Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the supervisor in coordinating daily departmental responsibilities by communicating instructions to team members and ensuring timely, correct execution.
  • •Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures.
  • •Safely perform repairs and preventative maintenance of all plant equipment.
  • •Direct maintenance team members in the absence of a supervisor, delegating and assigning tasks/projects as directed.
  • •Participate in maintenance testing/hands-on and help maintain compliance with Safety, GMP, and Environmental training.

  • •Minimum of 6 months mechanic work experience and/or documented education history.
  • •Willingness and ability to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • •Ability to safely participate in maintenance testing/hands-on across multiple areas (e.g., troubleshooting, welding, print reading/schematics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, electronics, PLCs/logic/VFDs, robotics, plumbing/pipefitting, machine shop tools).
  • •Must read, write, and use a computer competently, and have high school-level math skills.
