Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead supplier qualification, onboarding, approval, monitoring, and requalification programs for food safety, quality, and business requirements.
  • •Conduct supplier risk assessments and food safety vulnerability evaluations for ingredients, packaging, co-manufacturers, and service providers.
  • •Develop and maintain supplier performance management processes, including scorecards, KPI tracking, and periodic performance reviews.
  • •Assess supplier compliance with regulatory, certification, and industry standards through audit support and review of third-party audit reports.
  • •Support supplier incidents and non-conformances by reviewing root cause analyses and verifying corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • •7-10+ years of food safety and quality assurance experience in food manufacturing, preferably in highly regulated environments.
  • •Proven supplier quality management and auditing expertise, including 4+ years of supplier audits and working knowledge of FSSC 22000, SQF, or other GFSI-recognized schemes.
  • •Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, FSMA Preventive Controls, HACCP, and global food safety standards; PCQI certification preferred.
  • •Professional auditor certifications (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, ASQ, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
