Job Summary

Lead contaminated land and environmental consultancy projects focused on geochemistry and hydrogeology from initial assessment through detailed investigations, analysis, and delivery of sustainable risk-mitigation solutions. Conduct environmental assessments (PSA, DSA, QRA, DQRA, CSM development), oversee groundwater/surface water monitoring, design site investigations, develop and validate remediation schemes, and provide strategic client advice with senior support.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead environmental assessments including PSA, DSA, QRA, DQRA and CSM development.
•Oversee groundwater and surface water monitoring to provide data for analysis and decision-making.
•Design and implement site investigations, including rationale and effective examination of geochemical/hydrogeological conditions.
•Develop, optioneer, specify, detail, execute, and validate remediation projects to restore sites and meet environmental standards.
•With senior support, develop and deliver strategic advice to clients on managing and mitigating environmental impacts on groundwater and surface waters.

Key Requirements

•Academic background in geochemical and hydrogeological aspects of geoscience, engineering hydrology, or related subjects.
•Proven experience in geochemical and hydrogeological contaminated land assessment and management.
•Strong understanding of contaminated land assessment regulations and guidance.
•Hands-on experience in field investigation, including site management, drilling supervision, monitoring systems installation, and sampling (groundwater/ground gas) or supervision of remediation activities.
•Sustained experience in hydrogeological site characterisation and risk assessment; numerical modelling and geochemical modelling are advantageous.
