Key Responsibilities

  • •Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs, data concentrators, protection relays, generator controllers, and HMIs for automatic power transfer applications.
  • •Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation, including component selection and creation of bill of materials.
  • •Develop project documentation and plans such as sketches/mark-ups for electrical designers, customer submittals, sequence of operation (SOO), and test procedures.
  • •Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required, troubleshooting systems onsite and remotely.
  • •Mentor and assist less experienced engineers, and manage project financials, operational efficiency, and schedules.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with at least 7 years of power distribution controls experience, or a Master’s degree with at least 5 years, or 10+ years of power distribution controls experience.
  • •Possess and maintain an active and valid driver’s license and be able to pass a motor vehicle record check.
  • •Available for travel up to 25%.
  • •Maintain compliance with Eaton’s safety program and the role-applicable EESS Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) program, including required annual recertifications.
  • •Knowledge of best engineering practices for automation systems, power management systems, human-machine interface software, and PLC programming.
