Job Summary

Provide corporate engineering technical leadership to define and govern high-value strategies and projects across the manufacturing platform. Partner with cross-functional teams to develop optimized solutions for packaging equipment, automation, and continuous improvement. Lead feasibility analyses, develop Front End Loading packages with layouts, acceptance criteria, and performance requirements, and drive machine design improvements and troubleshooting to support plant operations. Ensure compliance with relevant packaging equipment regulations and codes.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership to identify and develop strategies and projects delivering high business value across the manufacturing platform.
•Develop labor-reducing, cost-saving automation projects using expertise, engineering partners, and OEMs.
•Stay current on regulations and codes for packaging equipment design and operations and recommend improvements to programs and goals.
•Create and review Front End Loading packages, including technology assessments, layouts, infrastructure requirements, acceptance criteria, performance criteria, risks, and alternatives.
•Troubleshoot packaging operations, lead machine design improvements and equipment modifications, and support site assessments and acceptance trials.

Travel: High travel

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or Packaging Engineering.

•Experience with machine design and working in a USDA or FDA regulated manufacturing environment.
