Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate equipment safely and efficiently (loaders, backhoes, trackhoes, haul trucks, etc.).
  • •Maintain safe excavation slopes and ensure proper barricading.
  • •Locate utilities and buried lines prior to digging.
  • •Perform minor servicing and maintenance, or refer major issues to the supervisor.
  • •Keep time and material records and support physical labor for pipe/utility and road construction/asphalt tasks.

Key Requirements

  • •Ability to safely and efficiently operate construction equipment used in quarry/pit operations.
  • •Ability to locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging and maintain safe slopes with proper barricading.
  • •Experience or training in heavy equipment operation is highly preferred.
  • •Assist laborers as needed with physical tasks such as laying pipe and utility lines, and road construction/asphalt tasks.
  • •Basic education and skills: high school diploma/GED preferred; ability to read instructions and perform basic arithmetic; strong teamwork and judgment.
