Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and develop thermal solutions (air-cooled or liquid-cooled) for systems with high-power ASICs and high-density optical transceivers.
  • •Create and run package, board, and system-level thermal simulations using CFD tools to analyze and validate thermal performance.
  • •Validate simulation models through thermal testing, including airflow, acoustic, thermocouple testing, modules, and platform-level validations.
  • •Collaborate with distinguished engineers, hardware leads, and mechanical engineers to define system architectures and cooling tradeoffs.
  • •Lead and mentor thermal engineers; develop test plans/reports and present simulation results to project teams and management.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors in Mechanical or Thermal Engineering with 12+ years related experience, or Masters with 8+ years, or PhD with 5+ years.
  • •5+ years designing, simulating, and testing thermal solutions for electronic devices and systems.
  • •Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamic analysis tools such as Flotherm or Icepak.
  • •Knowledge of advanced air-cooling technologies (e.g., vapor chambers, remote heat sinks, thermal interface materials, fans/fan trays).
  • •Experience designing liquid cooling and/or immersion cooling systems.
