Key Responsibilities

  • •Review design-stage risk information and challenge hazards with designers to develop effective hazard-mitigation strategies
  • •Collaborate with designers, engineers and project managers to deliver safe, design-led solutions across complex projects
  • •Gather information to inform risk profiles and compliance plans (PCI/HSF/BSA) and compile supporting documentation
  • •Advise clients and stakeholders on legal responsibilities under CDM and Building Safety Act 2022
  • •Develop and deliver safety-in-design project strategies, plans and project-specific approaches, including potential Building Regulations compliance

Key Requirements

  • •A degree (or equivalent) in safety, engineering, construction, transportation, or a related field (bachelors or higher)
  • •Strong working knowledge of CDM 2015 and experience of the Building Safety Act 2022
  • •Experience in transportation, utilities, engineering, operations or risk management with an understanding of design processes and risk profiles
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication skills with client-facing experience
  • •NEBOSH Construction certification and membership of APS, IIRSM and/or IOSH is preferred
