Job Summary

Support product design and systems engineering for new and legacy defence products within the Warhead Development team. Apply MBSE, Pugh matrices, FTA and DFMEA to evaluate and improve solutions, manage product and process design through testing and manufacturing, and embed safety across the lifecycle. Maintain engineering governance, configuration control, design reviews from concept to disposal, and engineering bills of materials while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver programmes and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

•Support product design and systems engineering across new and legacy products.
•Apply MBSE, Pugh matrices, FTA, and DFMEA to drive robust design and evaluation.
•Plan, conduct, and manage product and process design, development, testing, and manufacturing activities.
•Ensure safety is embedded and prioritised across engineering practices and outputs.
•Maintain engineering governance, configuration control, documentation quality, and EBOM throughout the lifecycle.

Key Requirements

•Academic qualification in Engineering or a related STEM subject, plus specific qualifications appropriate to your level.
•Proven engineering skills to identify issues, conduct technical analysis of causes, and identify solutions.
•Experience applying product design analysis techniques, including Pugh, DFMEA, and FTA.
•Working knowledge of Systems Engineering, MBSE, and engineering design.
•A proven record supporting engineering teams and projects (may also be working towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineer).
