Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and own how the alerting engine evaluates thresholds, ML anomaly scores, and correlation logic to produce high-fidelity alerts for platform- and customer-defined rules.
  • •Own reliability of major pipeline components from OpenSearch alert evaluation through Kafka delivery to downstream notification, including idempotency guarantees and load-tested behavior.
  • •Ingest diverse telemetry sources and transform them into network and system topologies and dependency maps to support investigation and remediation with LLM reasoning.
  • •Resolve production issues in your area, run post-mortems, and implement long-term fixes.
  • •Lead independent greenfield projects that expand Command|Alert correlation and detection capabilities, teaching and mentoring engineers along the way.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience designing, building, or operating high-reliability alerting or notification systems in production at scale, including rule- and ML-based detection logic.
  • •Strong Kafka experience producing and consuming event streams for downstream delivery.
  • •Working command of telemetry and protocol data (e.g., security tooling output, monitoring telemetry, syslog, OpenTelemetry, NetFlow/sFlow, SNMP, ICMP, firewall logs) to build network/system topologies and dependency maps.
  • •Track record ensuring webhook reliability, idempotency, and delivery guarantees under load.
  • •Mastery of Go and/or Python, with experience across container orchestration and multi-cloud environments.
