Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the primary finance partner to Property and Legal, providing financial insight and challenge to support strategic decisions
  • •Build and evaluate investment proposals and prepare financial business cases for store openings, relocations, refits, and estate projects
  • •Lead the annual budgeting process for property-related expenditure and produce quarterly forecasts with commentary on key movements
  • •Own month-end close activities for property and legal cost lines, including review of expenditure and submission of journals to the Shared Service Centre
  • •Review capex and manage depreciation postings to ensure costs are aligned with forecast, while identifying risks and opportunities in OPEX lines

Key Requirements

  • •Part Qualified (CIMA/ACCA)
  • •Previous commercial finance experience, preferably in Retail (property cost exposure advantageous)
  • •Strong Excel skills, including financial models and functions like VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and pivot tables
  • •Experience managing P&L and interpreting data to support decisions
  • •Able to meet strict timelines and manage multiple stakeholders effectively
