Job Function: Manufacturing & Production Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop user terminal production factory design on a physical and digital level, including building requirements, facility resources, and part flow to meet production rate of millions of units/year
  • •Ownership of floor layouts, capacity studies, and product flow analysis to ensure on-time product delivery
  • •Coordinate and schedule construction activities with internal SpaceX teams and external general/sub-contractors
  • •Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets for capital projects, monitoring progress and addressing deviations in real time
  • •Define new business processes and systems for high volume production, including manufacturing execution, inventory management, nonconformance resolution, configuration management, material traceability, process control, and maintenance

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, software, industrial, or other engineering discipline
  • •1+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial project management (collegiate projects/ internships qualify)
  • •Experience working with AutoCAD or Revit models
  • •Knowledge of database structures and SQL
  • •Understanding of lean engineering and Six Sigma concepts and their application
