Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain adequate stock of clothing, towels, under garments, and bedding supplies.
  • •Operate industrial washing and drying machines, including starting/stopping and controlling water and drying temperatures/times.
  • •Load/unload washers and dryers; fold and sort clean clothing and linens per requirements.
  • •Ensure proper distribution according to the facility laundry exchange schedule and established priorities from the Laundry Lead or facility need.
  • •Maintain safe, clean, and orderly work area with daily inspections and immediately report mechanical failures, unsafe conditions, accidents, and injuries.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience preferred in large scale laundry.
  • •Must be able to operate industrial laundry washing machines and dryers.
  • •Must be able to follow Standard Codes of Conduct pertaining to interaction with staff and detainees.
  • •Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass extensive background investigation and drug testing (random drug testing will be performed).
  • •Must be a US Citizen. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
