Key Responsibilities

•Design structural components of HVAC air handling units, including internal layout/assembly design and validation, and create 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs.
•Develop detailed designs for core structural parts, including material selection, wall thickness parameters, and connection methods (welding, bolting, riveting) to balance performance and cost.
•Run CAE simulations (e.g., strength, modal, wind pressure, high/low temperature resistance) to optimize weak structural areas, and iterate design based on prototype test results.
•Optimize structural design to match production processes (sheet metal forming, bending, welding, coating) to support mass production and reduce design-manufacturing mismatches.
•Lead resolution of structural issues found during product development, pilot production, and market feedback, and maintain required design documentation and technical reports.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical design/manufacturing, mechanical engineering, HVAC (building environment and heating), or related engineering fields.
•5+ years of HVAC product structural design experience for equipment such as air handling units, heat exchangers, and terminal devices.
•Familiar with HVAC and competitor product structure principles, core component characteristics, and manufacturing processes (sheet metal, welding, assembly).
•Proficiency in mechanical structure design theory (e.g., mechanics of materials/structures) and the ability to independently design and optimize complex structures.
•Skilled with 3D design tools (SolidWorks, Pro/E, UG) and 2D drafting tools (AutoCAD), plus CAE structural simulation experience (strength, modal, fatigue).
