Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect, compile, and analyze site and engineering inputs (surveys, blueprints, schematics, HVAC load calculations, and system performance reports) used for HVAC design and construction.
  • •Apply mechanical engineering and HVAC design techniques with senior engineering staff across project phases, supporting concept development through construction administration.
  • •Conduct field assessments of existing/proposed site conditions, HVAC equipment, and mechanical rooms to determine conformance with applicable codes and standards.
  • •Prepare HVAC plans and deliverables, including calculations, equipment schedules, airflow diagrams, and mechanical drawings using AutoCAD/Revit.
  • •Coordinate with cross-functional teams, architects, structural and electrical engineers, contractors, and clients, and document action items, field issues, and change requests.

Key Requirements

  • •5 to 7 years of post-education experience with direct HVAC and mechanical system design.
  • •Proficient in HVAC engineering principles and applying standard system design processes to building projects.
  • •Experience with HVAC load calculations, energy code compliance, and HVAC construction administration.
  • •Knowledge of mechanical/HVAC codes and standards, including ASHRAE, IMC, and IECC (and related compliance requirements).
  • •Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited university plus EIT/FE, with additional related experience or equivalency; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
