Job Summary

Support WPP’s US Indirect Taxes Center of Excellence by preparing US indirect tax filings (sales & use, gross receipts, personal property, and commercial rent) and serving multiple US subsidiaries. Own monthly accruals and reconciliations, handle notices and assist with audits by analyzing transactions and gathering data. Partner with Finance teams to build filing calendars and workpapers, and collaborate with vendors and technology teams to implement a tax engine.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare US indirect tax filings including sales & use tax, gross receipts tax, personal property, and commercial rent.
•Perform monthly accruals and reconciliation of indirect tax accounts.
•Handle notices and assist with tax audits by analyzing transactions and gathering requested data.
•Build and maintain an Indirect Tax filing calendar, obtain prior-year filings/workpapers, and help create a database for access.
•Assist with economic nexus determinations and required registrations, and collaborate with vendors/technology teams on tax engine implementation.

Key Requirements

•Minimum two years of Big 4 experience in indirect tax compliance and tax.
•Experience with indirect tax compliance using tax software.
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
•Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
•Excellent writing and communication skills in English.
