Job Summary

Drive soft goods product development from concept through production readiness. Partner with YETI Industrial Design, Soft Goods Material Developers, Category Management, and factory partners to move prototypes to mass production, troubleshoot design/material/trim details, and deliver technical drawing packages. Lead product sampling and coordinate design execution with suppliers, manage finished-goods testing to qualify designs for release, and collaborate with Product Quality to meet YETI standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with YETI Design and Category Management to understand product vision and direction.
•Advance products from prototype stages to successful mass production with internal teams and external manufacturing partners.
•Troubleshoot design, material, and trim details to execute the desired design, and deliver technical drawing packages to manufacturing partners.
•Lead product sampling and coordinate execution, optimizing construction techniques and patterns for DFM with frequent on-site supplier engagement.
•Manage finished-goods product testing with internal and external test labs and partner with Product Quality to ensure projects meet YETI standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of product development experience, preferably in accessories, bags, or apparel.
•Experience working with soft goods vendors (sample rooms, finished goods factories, fabric weavers, fabric coatings factories, etc.).
•Proficiency building soft goods drawing packages such as tech. packs and sample requests.
•Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
