Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage globally distributed application operations teams supporting mission-critical Java applications across on-premises infrastructure and Azure in a 24/7 support model.
•Provide escalation support for complex technical issues, including in-depth problem investigation and resolution.
•Establish incident management practices, including blameless post-incident reviews, escalation management, and continuous operational/process improvement.
•Champion application observability across logging, monitoring, and alerting using APIs and tools such as Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, Splunk, and Zabbix.
•Lead customer and regulatory audits (including PCI-DSS and SOC 2) and annual disaster recovery exercises while maintaining technical documentation and standards.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 121,000 - 169,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Proven experience managing Azure public cloud services, Linux or Unix servers, and Java-based applications in secure, large-scale environments.
•Strong technical leadership with demonstrated coaching, mentorship, delegation, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
•Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, Dynatrace, Splunk, Azure Monitor, or similar tools.
•Strong security and networking knowledge, including encryption, hardening, certificates, vulnerability management, PKI, SSH, and VPN.
•Working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM and operational best practices, including hands-on experience with Remedy, Jira, and Confluence.
