Job Summary

Support natural gas compressor station automation by troubleshooting compressor controls and automation issues that can’t be solved at operations level. Key Responsibilities

•Troubleshoot and resolve automation and compressor controls issues that can’t be remedied at the operations level, including failed starts, unit trips, and erratic compressor operation.
•Maintain and troubleshoot turbine/reciprocating engine and PLC code in unit and station controllers, along with ESD and safety systems and ancillary equipment.
•Maintain and troubleshoot compressor station HMI node programs and provide direct support to HMI hardware.
•Provide technical input during capital project phases (scoping, design review, commissioning) and review/implement company standards for PLC and HMI development.
•Support SCADA data transfer to Gas Control and COMETII, assist with automation standards, and collaborate with operations, vendors, and environmental/testing groups on performance and compliance issues.

Key Requirements

•Associate’s degree in Electronics or Computer Technology (industrial automation emphasis) or equivalent relevant experience.
•At least 3 years of experience in operations, maintenance, and capital-project support of industrial automation systems.
•Proficient in PLC programming and troubleshooting (ladder logic, structured text, add-on instructions), including Rockwell RSLogix-5, RSLogix-500, and RSLogix-5000.
•Proficient in HMI development and troubleshooting (WonderWare HMI/SCADA or equivalent).
•Working knowledge of NFPA 70E/NEC and DOT Pipeline Safety Regulations (Part 192), plus strong planning and communication skills.
