Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the Owner’s representative and oversee all aspects of transmission facilities construction, including interconnect, status reporting, owner-purchased material, safety monitoring, startup and commissioning, and project closeout
  • •Lead WSP’s field services team on the assigned project and serve as the primary interface with the client
  • •Ensure site personnel follow established safety processes and comply with environmental, OSHA safety regulations and project quality plans
  • •Administer contracts, negotiate revisions and changes with consultants, inspectors, clients, suppliers, and contractors, and monitor change management processes
  • •Coordinate permits/licenses and facilitate collaboration among owners, contractors, and design professionals to deliver project goals and maintain schedule integrity

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in construction management or closely related discipline, or demonstrated proven equivalent experience
  • •Minimum of 10+ years of experience in transmission operations, substation operations, construction, engineering, or equivalent education
  • •Detailed knowledge and proven record of successful transmission construction work, foundation installation, structure assembly and erection, wire stringing and sagging; substation construction experience preferred
  • •Develops, revises, and maintains construction schedules and detailed construction sequence documents to ensure facilities are constructed and operated in accordance with the Owner’s design and specifications
  • •Must have current and valid driver’s license; proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and Primavera 6
