Job Summary

Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment to produce metal parts from programs and work instructions. Read blueprints and engineering plans, interpret GD&T and work orders, select tools and machines, perform machining setups and adjustments, and conduct inspections. Maintain quality and safety standards, check SPC charts and gauges, and keep records while supporting EHS and CI requirements in a fully onsite second-shift role at Opa Locka, Florida.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce machine parts by programming, assembling, and operating CNC or manual machines (lathes, mills, grinders, and other specialized machines).
•Interpret blueprints, work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes, and sketches, including geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
•Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts into sub-units or complete units using mechanical equipment.
•Take measurements, select appropriate machines for the process, and perform machining setups with required adjustments.
•Conduct inspections, check SPC charts and gauging/measurements, keep records, and follow EHS/Quality/CI rules while supporting overtime as needed.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a high school diploma (or equivalent, e.g., GED) or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
•Experience interpreting and understanding machine codes is preferred.
•Experience working with manual machines is preferred.
•Experience working in an aerospace or MRO facility is preferred.
•A machine trade school background is a plus.
