Job Summary

Staff Software Engineer on the QualityOS team within Forge MES, defining technical architecture and driving distributed systems that scale manufacturing quality workflows. You’ll bridge QualityOS with Platform/Foundations, influence cross-team architectural decisions, and raise the bar through architecture reviews, testing, IaC, and observability while balancing speed and reliability for a next-generation defense manufacturing platform.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and drive technical architecture for QualityOS, making decisions on system design, scalability patterns, integration strategies, and platform/build tradeoffs that shape team execution
•Architect and implement complex distributed systems, building mission-critical services, APIs, and tooling for safe, fast delivery across manufacturing quality workflows
•Lead by example with engineering excellence, establishing patterns through testing, deployment safety, infrastructure as code, observability, and operational rigor
•Bridge product and platform teams to shape shared infrastructure based on QualityOS needs and drive adoption of platform capabilities
•Partner across MES product teams to integrate QualityOS into cohesive manufacturing experiences, evolve data models across quality/production domains, and drive cross-cutting technical consensus

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 220,000 - 330,000 annually

Key Requirements

•12+ years in software engineering
•Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and initiatives
•Experience with large enterprise applications and high availability systems
•Strong full-stack capabilities with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and web frameworks (Next.js, Remix, etc.)
•Excellent communication and ability to translate requirements into actionable plans and align cross-team stakeholders
