Job Summary

Design and implement PLC- and control-based automation solutions end-to-end, defining system architecture, interfaces, and technical specifications through commissioning. Support bid and estimating activities with technical concepts, select and coordinate Emerson and third-party components, and ensure integration with HMI, SCADA, MES, and cloud platforms. Provide on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, FAT support, and technical documentation, while working closely with customers and SPS programmers.

Key Responsibilities

•Review customer specifications, project scope, and clarify open points with customers (e.g., technical questions and deviations).
•Define system architecture, interfaces, and control requirements, and create technical specifications and BOMs.
•Support bid and calculation activities with technical concepts, including selecting and coordinating Emerson and third-party components.
•Perform technical design and programming/configuration of PLC systems (TIA Portal, TwinCAT, CODESYS), ensuring integration with HMI, SCADA, MES, and cloud platforms.
•Lead on-site commissioning and troubleshoot issues; support FAT, maintain technical/quality documentation, and provide technical training and guidance.

Travel: High travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in automation engineering, computer science, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
•At least 3 years of experience with PLC controls (Codesys, TIA, TwinCAT) and programming methods such as IEC 61131-3, including fieldbus and Ethernet networking, HMI integration, and SCADA programming.
•Experience with Linux, SQL, Docker, MQTT, and OPC UA.
•Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
•Fluent German and English (spoken and written), with strong customer orientation and communication skills.
