Job Summary

Build and optimize the architecture for TikTok’s Search engine to deliver a stable, high-availability search experience. Own design and development of search system components, improve online services and offline data flow performance, and eliminate bottlenecks to reduce costs. Work on large-scale, high-concurrency systems and core technology R&D, collaborating with teams to support machine learning optimization and partner-facing core search capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and develop TikTok Search system architecture to ensure system stability and high availability.
•Optimize online services and offline data flow performance, solving architecture optimization problems and performance bottlenecks.
•Create architecture abstractions and optimize processes for search scenarios, supporting large-scale machine learning optimization.
•Research, develop, and optimize core components and implement new technologies for large-scale high-concurrency systems.
•Collaborate on developing computer/network software and integrating hardware and software systems with specifications and performance requirements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related fields, with at least 1 year of experience building scalable systems.
•Experience programming in C, C++, Java, or Golang (C++ is a plus).
•Strong programming ability with excellent design and code style, and enthusiasm for technical challenges.
•Ability to analyze user needs and develop software solutions using computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles.
•Effective communication skills and a strong sense of ownership and drive.
