Job Summary

Set up and operate manual, semi-automated, and CNC plate rollers, hydraulic presses, and shears to fabricate precision metal components for maritime defense hardware. Read technical drawings and CAD models, design and implement work-holding and fixture methods, and act as an SME for rolling/forming/contouring pressure-vessel work. Troubleshoot during production, perform in-process and final quality control, and help supervise and mentor the fabrication team.

•Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models for precision metal fabrication.
•Program, set up, and operate manual, semi-automated, and CNC plate rollers, hydraulic presses, and shears.
•Design/spec out work-holding and fixture methods and lead their implementation.
•Troubleshoot issues, make manufacturing adjustments, and perform quality control during and at completion of fabrication.
•Collaborate with Quality and Engineering on safety policies, and help supervise and mentor the fabrication team.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 41.35 - 54.81 hourly

Key Requirements

•10-15+ years’ experience as a metal forming technician.
•Proven experience setting up and operating plate rolling machines to form cylinders, cones, and curved shapes (various metal thicknesses).
•Extensive experience operating hydraulic press brakes for forming and bending.
•Knowledge of alloys/metals and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
•Proficiency using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, protractors, tape measures) and ability to own manufacturing tasks start to finish.
