Key Responsibilities

  • •Become familiar with automated fastening systems (SWS, SPR, ABF), investigating and recommending cost-effective improvements.
  • •Design, develop, and update mechanical systems for new applications, system improvements, and cost savings.
  • •Support new and existing product launches using FMEA, DVP&R, and 8D methodology, including DFMEA to capture lessons learned.
  • •Provide expert assistance to manufacturing and repair personnel for troubleshooting malfunctions in components and systems.
  • •Coordinate specification, build, and installation of complete systems to meet customer requirements, including technical assistance for mechanical matters to internal and external customers.

Key Requirements

  • •2+ years of related on-the-job experience in detailed mechanical design and development or applications development preferred.
  • •Understanding of mechanical engineering theory along with general drafting skills.
  • •2+ years of Unigraphics (UG) design experience preferred.
  • •2+ years of FEA and/or CFD experience (or coursework) preferred.
