Key Responsibilities

•Develop and check hydraulic models to assist the design of Flood Alleviation Schemes, deliver Flood Risk Assessments and conduct reservoir flood studies
•Develop water quality models using industry standard software (MIKE, Delft3D, SIMCAT and/or ICM)
•Conceptualise and scope modelling approaches with consideration of risks and opportunities
•Undertake and check hydrological assessments (FEH, ReFH2 and WINFAP) and lead tenders ranging from one-off projects to multimillion-pound frameworks
•Mentor staff, build client relationships, stay up-to-date with legislation and use project management systems to deliver outputs on time and within budget

Key Requirements

•Significant experience with hydraulic and water quality modelling software (Mike, ICM, SIMCAT, Flood Modeller and/or TUFLOW)
•Knowledge of Environment Agency requirements for flood models used in flood risk assessments
•Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or related discipline; near to or obtained CIWEM or similar professional qualification
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Proficiency in scripting (Python, Anaconda, Ruby) would be advantageous
