Key Responsibilities

  • •Forecast and communicate engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers, including make-versus-buy input and MRP coordination to minimize inventory exposure.
  • •Lead the Materials Core Team and coordinate product development deliverables through matrix management of buyers, planners, and production control while interpreting engineering requirements.
  • •Create, release, and update new project materials strategy with limited/no supervision.
  • •Manage sourcing activities including supplier negotiations (under supervision as needed), supplier selection/assessment, supplier risk assessment, and monitoring delivery/quality/cost performance.
  • •Run materials change control, resolve quality issues, execute commercialization/transition materials plan, generate/publish KPIs, track landed cost targets, and support supplier/commodity roadmaps and value analysis.
