Key Responsibilities

  • •Create and manage social content to engage the developer and DBA community, including short-form video creation and amplification with engineering partners.
  • •Own day-to-day online community engagement on the Percona Forum and Community Slack, welcoming members and keeping discussions healthy.
  • •Monitor community health and sentiment across channels, flagging issues and highlighting wins while building relationships with contributors.
  • •Represent Percona at conferences, meetups, and partner events; provide regional event support and handle on-site troubleshooting.
  • •Perform light-to-moderate coding and maintenance on the community website (content updates, bug fixes, small features).

Key Requirements

  • •Experience running or actively contributing to an online community (forum, Slack, Discord, or similar), ideally in an open source/developer context.
  • •Comfortable with basic-to-intermediate coding (e.g., HTML/CSS/JS) to maintain a website with minimal hand-holding.
  • •Experience planning or supporting in-person events and the willingness/ability to travel regularly (25–30% of the year).
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident as a public-facing representative online and in person.
