Job Summary

Lead UX strategy and UI design for software products, including building a consistent design system and producing high-fidelity design artifacts. Partner with product managers and human factors to define requirements, interaction models, and research interfaces, and collaborate with engineers on UI handoffs and release features. Guide the SkyGrid design system’s evolution and documentation, support junior designers, and help ensure user experiences align with product goals and roadmap priorities.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead UX strategy for the design system for software products.
•Develop high-quality, consistent design artifacts (including high-fidelity mockups) and provide design implementation specifications for product initiatives.
•Collaborate with product managers and human factors to define product requirements, user-centered interface patterns, and interaction models.
•Turn low-fidelity wireframes into high-fidelity designs, support engineer handoffs, and help develop research interfaces to test prototype functionality.
•Guide the evolution and documentation of the SkyGrid design system, mentor junior designers, and advocate for the user throughout design and development.

Key Requirements

•Professional UX/UI design experience, including strong proficiency with Figma and UI handoffs with software engineers.
•BS in Human Computer Interaction, Visual Design, Human Factors Engineering, Psychology, or related disciplines.
•3+ years’ experience in frontend implementation such as CSS, HTML, and JavaScript.
•Ability to conduct user study sessions with customers and translate findings into product decisions.
•Knowledge of human factors principles and experience developing graphical user interfaces for aviation applications.
