Key Responsibilities

  • •Solve complex rendering challenges by building and optimizing 3D experiences that run in the browser.
  • •Deliver high-fidelity 3D using WebGL/WebGPU and WebAssembly while focusing on performance.
  • •Collaborate with design and product teams to turn 3D design requirements into technically sound Editor experiences.
  • •Build frontend components that integrate seamlessly within Canva’s Editor and 3D ecosystem.
  • •Mentor and collaborate with engineers, sharing knowledge about rendering patterns and helping establish 3D UI best practices.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience building frontend experiences using modern web technologies for complex, high-performance graphics or rendering.
  • •Hands-on experience with WebGL or WebGPU for in-browser rendering.

  • •Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms and scalable software architecture patterns.
  • •Rust or WebAssembly experience (nice to have).
