Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end technical design and architecture of scalable, highly available, and secure enterprise applications, including API strategy and cloud deployment decisions.
  • •Design, develop, and maintain high-performance secure RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
  • •Drive customisation, extension, and seamless integration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions with the bank’s core Java/cloud backend systems.
  • •Architect and deploy applications on AWS, ensuring scalability, resilience, and compliance with HSBC cloud security frameworks.
  • •Champion agile delivery and DevOps practices, including CI/CD automation, unit testing (TDD/BDD), code reviews, and mentoring junior/mid-level developers.

Key Requirements

  • •Expert-level Java (v11/17+) and Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security), with experience designing and implementing microservices and secure RESTful APIs.
  • •Extensive practical experience with AWS services including EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and IAM, plus cloud security and networking principles.
  • •Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 development/configuration, including custom plugins, workflows, Dataverse, Power Platform, and integration with external enterprise APIs.
  • •Strong DevOps and containerisation skills with Docker and Kubernetes, plus CI/CD toolchain experience (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and build/test quality tooling.
  • •Solid relational and NoSQL database experience (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL), including SQL performance tuning.
